Mrs. Doubtfire Stage Musical in the works

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Alan Menken, who also worked with Robin on "Aladdin", and talked about the possibility of turning Mrs. Doubtfire into a stage musical.

"It’s going very well, it's in its early stages, and that's probably all I can say. We're really enjoying working on it," Menken told EW. Menken is working on the adaptation together with David Zippel and Harvey Fierstein (played Robin's gay brother in the original film).

"Mrs. Doubtfire" is one of Robin's most succesful films. Last few years a sequel was in the works, but it turned out to be too hard to make the story work.
