The Greg Proops Chat Show with special guests Robin Williams, Linda Cardellini and musician Michael Penn

January 20, 8pm at Yoshi's San Francisco

Comedy legend Robin Williams to be a guest on The Greg Proops Chat Show!

SF Sketchfest is thrilled to welcome Robin Williams, who joins the acclaimed Greg Proops Chat Show! Hosted by Bay Area native Greg Proops (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Greg's other special guests are actress Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks; ER) and musician Michael Penn. Don't miss this truly special show, for one night only!

Greg Proops is a stand up comic from San Francisco. He lives in Hollywood. And likes it. He hosts his own live comedy chat show at the perilously hip Hollywood rock joint Largo. Guests have included Flight of the Conchords, Russell Brand, Jack Black, Dave Grohl, Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Joe Walsh, David Cross, Margaret Cho, Dave Eggers, Joan Rivers, Eddie Izzard and John C. Reilly. Proops is best known for his unpredictable appearances on both the American and British versions of the hit improvised comedy show Whose Line is it Anyway? Greg hosts the science game show Head Games on the Science Channel, can be heard as the voice of Bob the Builder on the popular PBS children's show, is a regular on Nickelodeon's True Jackson, and has a new comedy CD entitled Elsewhere, available on iTunes and aspecialthing.com.

Tickets were sold out in the blink of an eye when Robin's name was added to the guest list.

Happy Feet 2 coming in 2011

Happy Feet 2

Robin and Elijah Wood are all set to repeat their respective roles from the very successful movie 'Happy Feet'. The original movie won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and swept the box office in 2006. The movie was based on the adventures of Mumble, voiced by Wood, who plays the lead role in the movie. Wood successfully projected the plight of a penguin who could not sing like others in the group but could really dance fabulously.

When a severe famine hits the region, Mumble ventures out to discover the roots of the problem and finds himself in connection with the Adelie penguins. Their leader Ramon, voiced by Robin, gets friendly with Mumble. The character of Lovelace, also voiced by Robin, will return in 'Happy Feet 2' along with Mumble and Ramon. Shooting is expected to commence shortly and the voice tracks will be recorded by the actors in Australia. 'Happy Feet 2' will be directed by George Miller, who has also written the screenplay for the movie. Most of the details are kept secret in the interest of the film's future success. The movie is creating a good amount of interest in film circles, given the stupendous success the original film received in 2006 ($384,335,608 in earnings at the Box Office).

On our Happy Feet 2 page you can read what Robin has to say about the upcoming sequel.
