New Walt Disney chief Rich Ross has put "Wedding Banned," a romantic comedy to have starred Robin Williams, Anna Faris and Diane Keaton, into turnaround.
Mandeville Films, the production company behind the film, is free to shop it around town to other studios.
"Wedding Banned" tells the story of a long-divorced couple (Robin and Diane Keaton) who kidnap their daughter (Faris) on her wedding day to prevent her from making the same mistakes they did. The parents rekindle their relationship as they elude cops and the angry groom.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, one factor in the decision was the poor showing of the Robin Williams/John Travolta comedy “Old Dogs,” which has grossed just $35 million since its November 25 opening.

Those of you who've been here before must've noticed it right away: the site has been completely redesigned and rebuilt. Besides the new, clean look we also gave the site a more structured layout and the new navigation will make it easier to browse through all the content. Please let us know your thoughts on the new look!
Since the site has grown, it needed more than one brain and pair of hands to get it rebuilt:
Very special thanks to Suzanne Houghton who helped copy the existing content into the new format; Frank Sap for your advice about the overall design & look; and Jonathan for sponsoring us. Couldn't have pulled it off without you!
Thank you for your continuing support and friendship: Mark, Steve, Karen, Colleen, Kim and Kathy.
Thanks for your encouragement and continuing support: Rebecca, Dan, David, Mason and Susan.
Last but not least, a special thanks to Robin Williams for your continuing support and being really sweet about the site. And above all, for being such an inspiration!
