Robin is due to make a complete recovery within the next eight weeks after having undergone heart surgery on March 13, according to a statement released by his publicist. "Mr. Williams' operation went extremely well and we expect him to make a full recovery," said Cleveland Clinic staff cardiothoracic surgeon A. Marc Gillinov. "The 3-1/2-hour heart surgery was conducted to replace his aortic valve, repair his mitral valve, and correct his irregular heart beat."
Robin said in a statement, "The professionals at the University of Miami Hospital and ultimately at the Cleveland Clinic were all fantastic. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and dedication while I was in their care. I must also thank all the people who have expressed their love and concern for me. I have been deeply touched by their support. I got some great new material for the tour and can’t wait to get back on the road. I’m thinking the next leg of the tour will be 'Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction!'"

Robin has postponed the remainder of his "Weapons of Self-Destruction Tour" to undergo surgery for aortic valve replacement.
The tour is expected to resume in the fall, according to a release sent this afternoon from his publicist. It's been reported that the actor is a Miami hospital, however Williams' publicist would not confirm his location.
"I'm so touched by everyone's support and well wishes," said Robin in the release. "This tour has been amazing fun and I can't wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up."
Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the new dates are scheduled or ticketholders can contact their place of purchase for refunds.

On March 23 in a press release it was mentioned that Robin's recovery would take about 8 weeks. Apparently those 8 weeks have passed! Robin performed last night in Mill Valley, CA (Throckmorton 142) with Mark Pitta & Friends. This was the first time he performed on stage after the surgery.
Here at the Fansite we're very relieved the recovery went well and as planned. We wish him good luck going back to work.

Robin has got involved in The Prince's Rainforest Projects. The focal point of the campaign is a 90-second public awareness film in which His Royal Highness appears alongside his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, an array of well-known figures including Harrison Ford, the Dalai Lama, Daniel Craig, Robin Williams and children from around the world.
Each individual appears alongside an animated frog. The frog, created by Framestore, the Oscar-winning computer generated imagery (CGI) experts behind the film The Golden Compass, serves as a symbol of the rainforest.
The film will be broadcast for the first time today, at 1pm EST, on a variety of websites, including the social networking site MySpace. As the webcast is transmitted, the public awareness film will be shown at a launch event, attended by The Prince of Wales at London¹s National Geographic store.
The film can be viewed, and the public can demonstrate their support for the cause by visiting www.rainforestSOS.org
In a press release Robin tells us why he supports this cause:
"There are so many things in the rainforests that must be preserved - I believe that it is an exquisite part of the world - it needs us and much more important we need it. Please help."

A few years ago Robin mentioned on the Jay Leno show that his oldest son Zak was interested in going into acting. This week the film The Graduates premieres in New York, in which Zak makes his first feature film appearance. Rogue Cinema reviewed the film and wrote the following about Zak's character and the film itself:
Mike "The Resonator" Resniski (Zak Williams): Mike showed up later in the film. He's a 28 year old guy that Josh went to school with. Josh spots him out and about and they have a beer together. Their conversation reveals that their lives have taken totally separate paths. Mike is big into golfing and has a bitchy wife, a bitchy mother-in-law and a baby. His conversation with Josh makes him realize how much he hates his life and wants his youth back. Zak Williams didn't have a huge part in the film, but he had a very notable part. He feels like so many of us who have felt their youth slip away from them without even realizing it had happened. One day they wake up with that, "How the hell did I get here?" feeling. He played his role perfectly, and I really felt for this guy. I hate to sound like a broken record, but Zak Williams is a really likeable actor. The great thing about him is, I could also see him taking up the spoiled rich bastard role in some other film with equal adroitness. (Woohoo!!! There's that vocabulary again!)
This film had so many characters and so much going on, there was really no other fair way to write this review than to mention as many of the notables as possible and to talk about their place and situation in the grand scheme of the film. There were some other side characters who also did a great job, but their roles were so small I'm not going to get into them here.
The Graduates was a surprisingly good film. I did feel like a few of the characters kind of got lost in the shuffle here and there, but that's to be expected in a film with this many characters and this much going on. Still considering how much there was going on with all the different aspects of the story, a film like this one could have easily become a total mess, losing any and all direction. This film however held everything together nicely and presents us with a coherent story about a time in our lives that was a huge period of transition for all of us. The end of high school is the end of one era and the beginning of a new one, and I think that those of us who've been through it, will all be able to identify with these characters and what they're going through.
This film is currently available for pre-sale and will be out on DVD in March with lots of great special features. If you love great independent films, then I seriously suggest picking up a copy.
If you'd like to find out more about this film or to order a copy for yourself, you can check out the film's website at http://www.thegraduatesmovie.com.
